CEBU BASED WEBSITE PROMOTING PORNOGRAPHY and NUDE BARS
I have been researching on websites that are promoting Cebu as a province and as a City as well.
What disturbed me and drove me to make this post is I found a site that is even using the seal of Cebu City on top of its pages as if it is encouraged by the City Mayor Himself.
This site contains Nude Photos of Bar Girls.. Namely from: SILVER DOLLAR, LONESTAR, BGS, and VIKING
One of the photos even feature a bar girl looking like she is drunk sitting on the lap of a American inside a Bar with her Top off!
I know that this is common in Cebu and that most bars come with its set of naked dancers, but promoting it through the internet with vulgar pictures and even using the seal of Cebu itself is something I find wrong.
I have met with the owner of this site and I know for a fact that this site is Cebu Based. The guy is a foreigner but I think he is already a Philippine Citizen the name is Paul Petrea.
I hope something can be done about this since this really destroys the image of our women in Cebu.

please pm to us the site plus all the available information you have. this is very disturbing and alarming. and we should do something about this as soon as we can. it's very bad for the image of cebu city. we have to act on this not only to counter its negative effects but also to warn others that we mean business especially when it is the reputation of the city is concenred and when there is a danger of trafficking within our constituency.
u said u have met the owner. i hope u will be kind enough to provide us information.

It's really disturbing to know that such a website bears the seal of the city of cebu! I hope that the owner will be aware that he can be sued for his unauthorized use of the seal of the city. Since you know or met him, kindly tell him that the city can use its power to sue him.

Paul Petrea is a famous name in the fil-west community. I've seen his website and I am strongly against such kind of postings. It is suppose to be a forum but then he felt the need for money since he has no more income in the US led him to engage in selling some stuffs like the Cebuano-English dictionary for a way high price when you can only buy it for Php75 at National Bookstore. Such need lead to his arrest.
So, Mr. Petrea was deported and is banned from coming back to the Philippines after violating the Immigration Act of 1940 for staying in Cebu for three years with a tourist visa while actually operating an Internet caf? that he used for his mail-order-bride business. He operated the Internet caf? in Barangay Camputhaw here without a permit from the Department of Labor and Employment.
He was arrested last January 17, 2006 in his Internet caf? by immigration personnel and the Philippine Center on Transnational Crimes based on the complaint of Petrea?s Cebuana wife, Jan Debbie Pernia. Her wife who is commonly known as JJ was said to be a victim of Petrea's violence and used as a punching bag when things didn't go on Petrea's way.
So, how can we shut this one down? I'm curious to know... I don't know much about the laws in internet but it would be interesting to discuss it.

Hi All:
I just registered today when i saw this very topic here. By the way, I am Pauls wife and I myself hated his guts. He was deported last January 17 for not having any passport and any visa. And now that he is out of the country, he is sending me and my family death threats .I dont know if he cant come back here or not but thats what im going to find out. One of the reasons that he was deported its because he used to beat me when we were together.
I know the guy that posted this message and I fully agree with him. Paul is a very big supporter of bars and nightlife. He is promoting the Philippines in that manner, another reason we are not together any longer. I dont know where he is now nor i really care, But i just need? help from you guys, if you know anyone at the immigration please let them know my concern.

Guys, here's? how it goes.? I would usually receive a lot of calls and friends telling me about how pretty, how beautiful Filipina women are.? Compliments I hear for our Filipina women never stops, believe me.? To hear that from a forein land is quite astonishing.? Some surprised me and some did not.? I know a lot of Filipinas who are holding decent and respectable jobs around the country.? We have Filipina Doctors, Nurses, Filipinas who hold respectable positions in such worldwide companies as Motorola, GE, SEARS, etc.? Now, back to ace and jj.? One of my supervisors came up to me one day and asked me about my Internet surfing habits.? Although I don't stay in the Internet all the time, I have 2-4 technicians who stays on the INet 24/7.? (Well, it's part of our business.)? Then the man gave me a link to visit in my spare time.? Since wee were at work at the time, I didn't give it a thought and put the piece of paper in my shirt pocket.? Night came, while messing around with my computer at home I punched the link the man at work gave me.? And guys.... at first I thought we, as Cebuanos have lost it, and saw the most disgusting photos I have seen inmy life.? The website address was from CEBU with a CEBU CITY SEAL!!!? MY GOD!!!Why I said "in my life"?? Yes, yes, as a man I have seen those kinds of pornographies and smut trashes before but believe me, when you are in a foreign land, who thinks of nothing but to remember how beautiful our country is, and how proud I am to belong to a loving, God-fearing race in Asia, if not in the entire world AND there it was.? Right in front of my face.? Seeing htose lewd awful pics, I almost kick the monitor to its 'thy kingdom come', but I held back. (I know you guys would have done the same).? Believe me, that bothered me a lot and I keep asking myself... WHY WOULD CEBU CITY SUPPORT SUCH A DIRTY LOWDOWN, image destructive business???
The next day, the supervisor noticed that I did not appreciate what I saw on the link he gave me, he apologized.? I know he was sincere but I also told him that the "site" does not reflect the Cebuano race.? (I had to be specfific on that one.) My supervisor thought I would kick him out from my Team but no, I did not.? I requested him not to patronize those kind of sites anymore.
CEBU is under attack!
Look my fellow Cebuanos/nas....? this is a very serious threat to Cebu's reputation.? ?Our dignity as a family oriented, peace loving, God-fearing people is under attack and this is a serious threat to all decent Cebuanos all around the world.? I have seen more of the same in the Usenet sites (NEWSGROUPS) and I pray to God... if you are one of the High TECH pure Cebuano who operates one of these irresponsible devilish businesses on the INet, you will get your share soon.? I am sure your conscience does not give you peace at night.? How can you get satisfaction from what you're doing, knowing that you put thousands of Filipinas' safety in jeopardy.? ...disgusting site! it's sad to think that no matter how proper we, who are living outside the country, act here, to help project a positive image of our people, there are others who jeopardize that image by their lack of conscience, integrity and morals. the city should definitely do something about this. it's degrading to all of us cebuanos!

yeeeeayyyyyyyyy!!! ssorry boss. I can't help it. well, my eyes sure are tired reading your novel but it was worth it. i'm glad i know what kind of a boss you are and definitely glad to be working for you. for one thing, i don't think you guys are over reacting. afterall, the internet is flooded with all kinds of porno sites. i can undertand your concern this thing they called pornos are a disease. hieavily hit are third world countries. my question is, do you honestly think that those women involved in those site really enjoy being part of that "stupidity" as you call it? i doubt it. i think it has something more to do on economics, of survival. easy money? (that is just one side of the coin that you failed to discuss in your post.)
one side two sides, people know that this is lewd and immoral. sealcyn, we understand. we respect our filipino co-workers. they are decent, respectable and good workers.
